February 14, 21, and 28
Dr. Clint McCann, OT scholar at Eden Seminary, will lead us in three sessions to explore some of the relationships between the Old and New Testaments. Care will be taken to preserve the integrity of the Old Testament, in terms of its original context and intent – in short, the Old Testament is not a prediction of Jesus. At the same time, however, it is very clear that the early Church could not understand Jesus nor articulate its faith in Jesus without the Old Testament Scripture. In the final analysis, the two testaments offer a unified witness to the one God – the God of Israel whom Christians profess to be fully revealed in Jesus of Nazareth.
